Hi everyone,

It's February and if you're an optimist like me there's a hint of spring in the air. Evenings are getting lighter but we can still snuggle up with slow cooker recipes and roast dinners. And of course it's the season of love and pancakes.

Pancakes also mean Lent is upon us. Will you give things up or take things on? I'm a big fan of taking on a daily challenge. How about something to make you feel better, like a little gratitude exercise or writing down three things every day that have made you happy?

Post Natal News
This Tuesday will be the last in our current course of post natal Pilates and it's been delightful. We've loved every minute (even if babies haven't)! Thank you beautiful mummies and babies. Thank you to Emma (Beatrice's mummy) for sharing this lovely picture.

Post Natal Pilates will start again on Tuesday 24th February at 12.30pm. It's a six-week course aimed to get you back into exercise and on the road to post natal recovery. Pelvic floor, abdominal separation and the 'mum bum' are all on the Pilates menu!  Book now
This month we've been using small bands in Pilates to help with our current programme and we've all taken part in the ten squat challenge (see below). There are some spaces available on Mondays at 8pm and on Thursdays (Pilates Foundations) at 8.15pm.
MONDAYS: Epping 6.45pm and 8pm
TUESDAYS: Epping 12.30 pm (post natal with babies)
THURSDAYS: Epping 8.15pm  (Pilates Foundations)

Fat Loss Circuits

Our first fat loss circuits participants of the year have been doing a brilliant job. Colds and viruses have tried to skupper their plans but they're made of strong stuff.

There's been so much interest that we'll be running another one starting in March.

How to get better at Pilates

So what's been happening at Fit School Central?

Karen had a great time at the YES partnership motivation conference at the end of January. Karen will be back at the next one as a guest speaker.

Chris got very cold and dirty at this year's Winter Warrior event at Donnington Park. He won't be doing it again but it has inspired him to get some trail running shoes and add some trail running events to the Fit School Schedule.

The new Fit School website is under construction and nearly ready to go. You'll be able to get updates, book and stay motivated via our online version!

Karen is teaming up with local fitness entrepreneur Dawn Tharby who owns Karen loves fit fashion (hence the recent loud Dharmabums leggings) and will be road testing some outfits from Anniluce and Han Keksii.

Karen's latest book project is nearly finished. The Kick Start Fat Loss Revolution by Rachel Holmes (ghost written by Karen) is nearly out there. Look out for it. Rachel is a big name in fitness so the book is bound to hit the media. We're very excited.

So what of Karen's own book? Well it's about time. Needless to say it will be about lady parts and post natal recovery and is currently in the early stages. It is definitely coming though. Karen would love your support with this exciting venture.
What we're loving this month
Uptown Abs Workout - This is so much fun and amazing to see gymnasts doing Pilates. Who fancies the challenge?

The 10 squat challenge - We've encouraged all of our participants to do 10 squats every day in order to banish the 'mum bum' or the lack of one. Have a go and let us know how you get on via our Facebook page.

Chocolate! Well it is the season of lurve and here at Laing central, in between spreading PoxClin on our beloved pox ridden Isaac we enjoyed steak followed by Baked Chocolate Mousse Cake (with a side order of Booja Booja coconut ice cream).
