TART DOUGH for JAM TARTS
9 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1+1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg and almond extract. Sift
together flour and baking powder and add to above mixture. Mix
thoroughly. Roll dough into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and
indent center of balls. Fill with Jam. Bake at 350 F until lightly
browned. Dough can also be pressed into a tart pan for a large tart.
