The world's oldest children's bookstore
Dear readers,

We have just published Gisela Ervin-Wards latest topical article:

There’s an election coming. Well, there’s always an election coming. And if there’s not, there’s always lobbying, decision making and activism underway.

It’s easy to forget that the topics of government, politics, elections, the law and activism are fundamentally relevant to children even though they are not yet voters. These topics are perennial favourites in classroom and books are a great way to instruct, engage and activate children in these matters.

Our list below covers books for all ages, and ranges from the practical to the philosophical with a particularly Australian bent.

In good news just in, The Chameleon Thief has been declared MAGNIFICENT by Julianne Negri (who be perfomring launch duties on Sunday'

Julianne says:
This book! I can’t tell you how brilliant it is…well I can actually. It’s magnificent! It is laugh-out-loud funny, has the best cast of characters you will ever meet, a mystery, an edge of your seat heist, animals (and no, not just a chameleon) and most of all it has the most beautiful atmosphere of kindness. It is a great big warm hug of a book that made me so happy.

The world is a better place for having this book in it.
