The Montgomery County Food Council
is a collection of community stakeholders who examine problems and develop solutions to improve our local food system and our county. Public participation in our working groups is essential for our success and we welcome all volunteers to join our effort.
Community Food Rescue (CFR)
is the coordinated food recovery network of food businesses (restaurants, caterers, groceries, farmers, farmer’s markets, institutions, etc.) that donate food; food assistance organizations that provide food to people who experience food insecurity; and volunteer food runners that transport food. CFR is actively seeking food businesses, food assistance organizations and volunteer food runners. Contact CFR - email@example.com
On Sunday, Oct. 18, GreenWheaton, artist Joanne Miller and Adventures with Raptors welcomed over 100 attendees for a morning of education & photography with birds of prey. THANK YOU to Adventures with Raptors, Wheaton Arts & Humanities Commission, Safeway, and all our volunteers. Many residents stopped during their morning walk to see what was going on and to learn more about the live owls and hawks.
