The Montgomery County Food Council is a collection of community stakeholders who examine problems and develop solutions to improve our local food system and our county.  Public participation in our working groups is essential for our success and we welcome all volunteers to join our effort.
Community Food Rescue  (CFR)  is the coordinated food recovery network of food businesses (restaurants, caterers, groceries, farmers, farmer’s markets, institutions, etc.) that donate food; food assistance organizations that provide food to people who experience food insecurity; and volunteer food runners that transport food.   CFR is actively seeking food businesses, food assistance organizations and volunteer food runners.  Contact CFR -
