April is the month to celebrate trees and Arbor Day, so we’ve asked Evan Keto, Manager of the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection Trees Program, to join us for our monthly environmental happy hour to talk about the county's tree program, and to provide details for those who want to request FREE TREES for their yards. We'll also have some info on how to take care of the trees you already have. Come out to network: Food! Friends! Fun! And TREES!

In the event of rain, artist walk will be rescheduled. Please visit the Wheaton Arts and Culture gallery of community photographs at www.joannemiller-community.com. To learn more about the project and upcoming events go to the www.greenwheaton.org/greenarts

Native Plant Garden to Be Moved

Many years ago, a dedicated group of volunteers installed a native plant garden around the "Welcome to Wheaton" sign in Reedie Triangle.  Now, as the city prepares to re-invent the triangle area, volunteers are needed once again to help us move the garden to its new home.  We'll be working on the big dig Saturday, April 23 from 2-6 pm. Students can get SSL hours for this project.  Info@greenwheaton.org
