Are you a "green" business owner looking for exposure?   Do you know of a "green" business that should be recognized?  Are you a consumer looking to shop "green"?

The Maryland Green Registry is a free way to promote your business or organization, save money and demonstrate your environmental commitment. As well as a way for You, the consumer, to identify and support quality organizations in your neighborhood.
  • Free:  There is no cost to join. Simply complete the online application.
  • Flexible: You choose the activities that make the most sense for your organization.
  • Inclusive: The Maryland Green Registry is open to organizations and facilities of all types and sizes in both owned and leased space.
  • Interactive: Learn here what other Maryland Green Registry members are doing to reduce their environmental impacts and receive staff support on checklist measures.

APPLY for NRCC 2015!

Join high school students from across Maryland at this week-long camp in Garrett County to explore careers and college studies in natural resources. This partnership with Allegany College of Maryland and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources-Forest Service offers high school students a co-educational opportunity to learn from industry professionals and develop contacts that could lead to future employment and a career in natural resources.

The Montgomery County Forestry Board provides tuition scholarships for students each year so students only pay the activity fee. All MD high school students are eligible. Out of state students are not eligible for funding but are welcome to attend.

New Funding to Support Arts & Entertainment in Wheaton

The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) is pleased to announce the creation of The Wheaton Cultural Grants, a new funding opportunity that will support creative and cultural projects in Wheaton, Maryland.

Nonprofit arts and humanities organizations and individual artists and scholars are invited to apply for grants of up to $10,000 for Wheaton cultural projects. To be eligible for these grants, applicants must be based in Montgomery County, MD and proposed projects must take place in Wheaton, Maryland between May 15, 2015 and June 30, 2016. The application deadline for this opportunity is Thursday, April 9th 2015.

New Full Tilt Brewing’s “The Bay IPA” Launched to Raise Money to Help the Chesapeake Bay.  A portion of proceeds from Full Tilt's Bay IPA, will be donated to the Trust to support environmental education and restoration projects in local communities.
