From the Desk of the CEO
Welcome to 2016 and what will hopefully be a very exciting year for Twilight Aged Care.
Whilst the United Nations has declared 2016 as the International Year of Pulses (IYP16), locally 2016 has been declared the National Year of Digital Inclusion (NYDI). At Twilight our focus in 2016 is to continue the journey started in late 2015, that is to “ensure we have the right people, motivated to make a profit so that we have the resources to provide quality aged care services and become a preferred provider on the north shore of Sydney”. At the heart of achieving this are our values: Respect, Compassion, Commitment, Pride and Strength in working together as a team, which together assist us in delivering quality outcomes. We need to emulate and demonstrate these values in all of our interactions with residents and their families, each other, visitors and suppliers.
At Twilight we are fortunate to have many dedicated and skilled staff who care for our residents, many who go over and above the call of duty. As we start the new year I encourage each of you to take time to reflect on your contribution to Twilight Aged Care. How does your role support Twilight to provide quality aged care services? How do you make a difference?
In December 2015 I started my CEO circuit and spent the day at Glengarry, I wish to advise that these random visits will continue in 2016. The CEO circuit is aimed to provide me with an insight into all aspects of our business. As I work alongside each of you I am keen to understand from your perspective what makes Twilight different, what works well and what could be improved. If you have a good news story let me know.
I look forward to working with you all in 2016 to continue the proud tradition of quality aged care that Twilight has delivered for over 100 years.
With warm regards,
Chief Executive Officer.
