What’s growing on in May..

As the weather cools, plant growth too, slows down. Gardening activities turn to maintenance and protection over winter, allowing time to recharge the batteries before the looming Spring.

Bulbs and vegetables are at their best during Autumn. Daffodils are in full bloom and tulips will be available shortly. Winter veggies are super easy to grow! The cold frightens off weeds & insects, making harvests and home-grown goodness so much simpler – ideal for winter soups & stews. If you haven’t read about it already – Kale is the new ‘wonder veg’ of the season, Banting approved and all!

Mother’s Day is celebrated this weekend and there is still time to place orders for a selection of living green gift options.

A quick note to let you know that I’ll be out and about for the next 2 weeks (looking for new green gift idea’s abroad!). I’ll have limited access to emails but Glenda will be available in the office to make sure your Autumn is a great one until I return!
