On the Jewish calendar, we are now stepping into the year 5781. A year when silence will prove golden.

The Jewish alphabet contains great meaning. Each letter has a corresponding meaningful symbol.

Eighty is the word pey. It’s symbol is an open mouth of declaration.

One is the word aleph. It’s symbol is an ox, representing strength and leadership. It’s also characterized by its sound, which is completely silent.

The number one also signifies beginning. Our Lord is both the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End.

This is the year of learning to speak and declare through the power of silence and creating new beginnings.

God is teaching us self control and humility through calling us aside at times into a silence to listen to Him and learn how to use our inner voice in ways that will speak louder than any loud voice possibly could.

Please understand that this doesn’t mean He is calling us into total science all the time. He is teaching us when to speak and when to remain silent as it says in Ecclesiastes. And He is teaching us to use the voice that He has given us with more than just our mouth, as well as at the right time and in the right way.

This is also not about being passive. Rather, it’s about seeking and listening to the Lord and His heart and directions so that our voice is more powerful, anointed, and effective.

Some have not learned how to close their mouth and listen. Let that mask you see on many faces be a prophetic sign to you. Instead, allow the hand of God to be gently upon your mouth when you need His help to be silent so that you may listen to Him and He may speak to and through your heart.

Many times people speak out of emotion rather than wisdom. Doing that can cause us to lose relationships, jobs, and other opportunities. Not to mention the fact that one can then become rejected rather than heard. A friend of mine who has difficulty in this area asked the Lord to use Holy Spirit duct tape on her mouth. (LOL)

Many fight the use of the mask because they feel it symbolizes silencing them. That is a true struggle for them because they cannot or do not want to be silenced. At all. They want to be heard. All the time. Therein is the personal struggle many will face in this year.

But this is not a requirement of control; rather, it is a choice of one’s self control. That’s one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. If we can humble ourself to manage our mouth in this time, the power and anointing of our words will exponentially increase.

As we learn the art of listening, this is the year of the beginning of a great Renaissance in writing and the arts. A time that will be looked upon in history that God spoke to and through His people in powerful, life changing ways.

Many do not know how to express themselves, thus have been out in the streets hollering. But no one listens to someone who yells. So this is the year of learning to speak through silence. Speaking through the silence of prayer, the written word, voting, and even the arts.

Pick up your pen or keyboard or perhaps your paintbrush or clay, and listen as God speaks to you. Then it shall be declared to the multitudes through the silence of the written word or piece of art, and they will listen.

Many of the world’s greatest changes have come through the silence of the written word. Martin Luther‘s papers that sparked the Protestant Reformation, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights, the Emancipation Proclamation, the Press Release Announcing U.S. Recognition of Israel, the Civil Rights Act. Many great books and other writings have come forth in the midst of chaotic times and have changed the world forever. And so it shall be now.

Isaiah 30:15b says, “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

Train your mouth to be closed, your ears to listen, and allow God’s heart to speak to and through you. Even to listen to the heart of your fellow man.

I heard the Lord saying, “I will gather my writers and artisans and teach them to be silent so they may hear My voice. And in that silence shall come the voice of change and the metamorphosis of nations.”

“For in that silence shall be a deafening roar of creativity from the heavens. I formed the world with My words once before and I shall do it again.”

”Are you willing to close your mouth long enough to hear My heart and allow yourself to be used to change the world while your mouth is silenced and you are unseen?”

“Extreme self control and humility is the required cost of greatness. Close your mouth, open your ears and heart and mind, and your voice will be heard throughout the earth.”

Many battles have been won through prayer. Not that done by a loud booming voice drawing attention to one’s self. Rather, even as Hannah was seen silently praying with lips moving but no sound. Yet God answered that prayer which resulted in the birth of her son.

Hannah conceived and bore a son, and named him Samuel (literally Heard by God) ‘since she had asked the Lord for him.’ (1 Samuel 1:20 NAB).

Samuel played a key role in the transition from the period of the biblical judges to the institution of a kingdom under Saul, and again in the transition from Saul to David. ... He is considered a prophet by Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

The exponential growth of a powerful world wide prayer movement will continue. It may be silent to the ears of man, but heard and heeded by the sovereign God.

Again, there is a time to speak up and a time to be silent even in prayer. Therefore remember that there will additionally be times of louder declaration as well.

The earthly demonic powers that be think they can shut down the Church and close the mouths of Her people. Instead an extreme rapid growth of the Kingdom of God is occurring through Book of Acts house to house fellowships around the world. Even bringing forth the birthing of those in other nations through Zoom and other Internet platforms.

It may not be heard any longer in big buildings but The Church’s voice is being heard in greater numbers throughout the earth and in the ears of God.

Multiple small home groups are emerging. Much like the Book of Acts house to house fellowships in the New Testament.

The apostle Paul had home group:

“(30) Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, (31) preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.” (Acts 28:30-31)

God is quietly rebuilding and expanding His Church throughout the Earth.

The election of President Trump in 2016 was a shock to many. While the media and political pundants were out there screaming and hollering with all of their predictions, all were proven wrong and Trump was elected.

In silence of mouth yet through the massive response from conservative voters at the polls, Trump won against all odds. The political world was turned upside down.

In like manner, so shall many political battles be won.

Let the rest scream and holler and prognosticate. Ignore them. Actions speak louder than words. Do your part. Vote.

To bring balance here, let it be understood that this message does not mean that we do not speak up when we are supposed to. That would be a mistake. As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:7, there is a time to speak and a time to be silent.

Sometimes we bring unnecessary warfare upon ourselves by speaking when we should be silent. Simply put, we should use caution by not revealing our secrets, plans, or strategies to the enemy. Unveiling such things open the door for the enemy to destroy our dreams.

Let us also not pridefully boast before a victory. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

Therefore, let us use wisdom and self control with the voice God has given us. Let’s only say and do what the Lord says. Let’s use our voices in the right way, and at the right time, so that we are obedient to Him and as effective as possible.
