Joni Ames is an ordained itinerant prophetic teacher, author, and speaker who travels and ministers throughout the country.


Joni has a doctorate in theology, ministering in churches, conferences, marketplace ministry groups, to government leaders, at home groups, at prisons, and teaches at schools of ministry as well as holding her own week long prophetic schools.


Her book, “The Definitive Guide to Prophetic Ministry,” is a Prophetic Mentoring Manual that may be purchased on Amazon.


Joni’s has been a part of MorningStar since May 1990 when she was Rick Joyner’s first secretary. She teaches at MorningStar University when home and requested to do so.


She additionally worked for several nationally known ministries which included: Jim and Tammy Bakker‘s PTL television network, Morris Cerullo, Pat Robertson‘, and Derek Prince. She also served as singles administrator for 1500 singles and single parents pastor for 500 single parents and their families at Central Church of God, a large church in Charlotte, NC.


Joni was mentored by Prophet Bob Jones for five years every Wednesday in his home.


She was trained in prophetic ministry at MorningStar, Christian International, Kansas City IHOP and Shiloh, James and Michael Ann Goll’s ministry in Nashville, and believes in cross pollinating with all of God’s streams.


Joni’s writings have often been featured on the Elijah List as well as in the MorningStar Journal and Charisma online.


She emphasizes being rooted and grounded in God’s Word so that we are sure to be operating in the Holy Spirit not any other.
