The Cowra Comedy Festival kicks off on Thursday with Funny Mummies Comedy Gala (while many students from our local schools are watching Mr Snotbottom!) and then a great line up of great comedy! Something for everyone. Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, Sean Choolburra has been forced to postpone his show this Friday night to a new date in February. Check out the full line up below or on the website. And remember, it’s free for all Cowra residents! Book now! The much-anticipated film, Mrs Harris Goes to Paris has it’s final screening tomorrow morning - Wednesday. Audiences have been flocking to this and roaring with laughter! Thank you to all of those that attended the first of two fundraiser events for those impacted by the floods we held last Sunday - it had a great vibe and was a fun family event. This Sunday we welcome CJ Stranger to the stage with support act Eli Standford. Tickets are free but donations are requested. We hope you will get behind this effort to help others in the community. Recently performing in the Australian and New Zealand 2022 tour of The Girl from the North Country (the award-winning Broadway musical featuring the music of Bob Dylan), this is his first time performing at Cowra Civic Centre.
Opening the afternoon will be upcoming Orange singer-songwriter Eli Stanford. Surrounded by music all his life, he has a soulful voice that shines through on his latest release “Perfect Vision”. One of his major influences is Bill Withers and that groove reverberates through what Eli puts into his performance as his “music means everything to him”.
