Des Moines’ signature New Year’s Eve celebration is the Des Moines Symphony’s annual POPS spectacular at the Civic Center. Year after year, sold-out crowds have danced in the aisles and leapt to their feet to give standing ovations for the Des Moines Symphony!

So plan early and ring in 2013 with The Classic Hits of The Beatles, performed by the award-winning Classical Mystery Tour—a tribute to the boys from Liverpool like no other. You’ll experience chart toppers like Yesterday, Hard Day’s Night, Come Together, All You Need Is Love, Penny Lane, Here Comes The Sun and so much more, all performed live with the original, full symphonic studio recording accompaniments that sold millions upon millions of records. Members of Classical Mystery Tour have performed in Rain and in Beatlemania, and the group has been described by the Los Angeles Times as“incredible” and possessing a “high goose-bump quotient.” This fabulous foursome not only looks and sounds like John, Paul, George and Ringo, but they also sing and play a set of nearly 30 songs the way they were meant to be experienced—with lush strings and full, soaring brass accompanied live by the gifted musicians of your Des Moines Symphony. You won’t want to miss this night of Beatlemania—right here in Des Moines!
