Mattersey Hall Update

As a new academic year kicks off, we sat down with Mattersey Hall principal, Glenn Balfour to hear an update about how things are going.

"We have welcomed 32 new students across all of our degree programmes.  All of our onsite students are already gearing up for their mission trips which are: South Africa, Romania, Greece, Iceland & Wales.
We also welcomed 2 new members of staff: Rebecca Platts as our new academic admin assistant and Tandi Evans as our new Student Liason Officer.

Our next Free Taster day is on Tuesday 20th - Wednesday 21st November.  What does the ‘Taster Day’ experience involve?
  • Stay overnight in the Residential Centre on the Tuesday evening.
  • Sit in on a Mattersey lecture given by one of our excellent teaching faculty.
  • Join with the student body, faculty and staff at our Main Event on Wednesday morning.
  • Spend some time exploring God’s word in our new Research Centre.
  • Network with our present students who are passionately getting ready for God’s call upon their lives.
  • Take opportunity to chat with faculty and staff about our courses, student finance, international missions trips and church placements.
  • Enjoy all meals and accommodation free of charge, during the stay.
We would love you  to get in touch with us about any of our courses and taster days.

Israel Forum

AOG mission forums are designed to bring together like-minded leaders to share resources, develop strategies and accelerate mission to the least reached.

Our October Israel forum is a further opportunity to explore together how we can effectively play our part in that process in the context of modern day Israel.

Details...
Saturday 27th October 2018
10am - 3pm
Life Church 1a Old Chester Road, Bebington, Wirral, CH63 7LA

We hope that you will be able to join us for this Forum on Israel, which we believe is more than just one specific area of mission. An understanding of the covenant promises of God to Israel as a nation is key to understanding God's purposes in the world, and His pouring out of the Holy Spirit on all nations.

Many church leaders have told of the change that engaging in Israel has brought to their church. Come and hear more about it at the Forum, and please feel free to bring members of your church.

We have some very special guest speakers from Israel and the UK. From Israel we welcome: Andrei Senderov, Beit Hallel congregation, Ashdod, Israel.
Andrei is part of the leadership team of this fast growing congregation in Southern Israel and he will bring a unique perspective on the local church in Israel, the challenges they face and the growth in recent years. He will also be able to tell you how you can get involved.

And from the UK: Nigel James, Missions Pastor from City Church, Cardiff (Elim) Nigel will be speaking about their churches journey into mission in Israel. There will also be other contributors during the day. Keep up to date through our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/AOGIsraelForum

Please book in by replying to this email or through the AOG Missions website. https://www.aog.org.uk/ministries/aog-mission

AOG vs Elim Golf day

On 10th & 11th September, 24 AOG & Elim Leaders competed at Carden Park, Chester for the AOG v Elim “Ryder Cup” golf tournament.

It’s the third time in recent years that the two Fellowships have played this golf match. On this occasion AOG beat Elim 9:5 v 2:5. It was a great couple of days of fun, fellowship and great golf.

Roll on 2020 and the opportunity to make it 4 times unbeaten for AOG!
