Hello Modern People,
At Habanero Architecture, we believe in exceeding expectations. Yes, No, Wow, these are our metrics when looking for feedback from our awesome clients. Needles to say, we strive for the wow answers. For the last couple of months, like many other people in the industry, we have been busy at a record high in terms of project volume at our office. We want to thank all of our clients for their patience, for keeping an open mind in the process, and for an "eyes on the prize" mentality. With this said, here is some good news!
On the Boards: Watkins Duplex

This project features a double multi-unit project in a beautiful neighborhood close to Lion's Park area in Raleigh. The neighborhood offers diversity in styles, and the modern proposed structure is reaffirmed by this context. A butterfly roof is featured in the front facade, the valley connects the two units in the middle. The narrow property forces the design to segment the zones into a linear array. A double-height ceiling in the public areas opens the interior space to collect natural light and create a more integrated flow. The private areas are concentrated at the rear of the property for privacy. A rooftop deck & penthouse offers the users a space to congregate and enjoy the green views of the neighborhood. Thank you LTB Construction for this opportunity to design something special with such talented group.
On the Boards: Person Homes

Densifying our cities is something very important at this moment in time. The US needs to offer more housing options. Person Homes are located in downtown Raleigh. Working with the UDO parameters we were able to squeeze a 3 bedroom program inside this property and offer a rooftop with views of downtown Raliegh. The project is currently under construction documentation and we look forward to seeing this project come to fruition soon. Thank you to Grayson Homes for your trust and for this opportunity and more to come for sure.
Under Construction: Carborro Family Vision, Webster & the Chapel Hill House

We are fortunate to be able to provide site observation services for these three projects to guarantee the quality of the design. Our project in Cary for our friends at New Native Realty finally broke ground in February and footings have been placed. Remade Modern is doing a fantastic job despite having to work with all site-related challenges for this very unique plot.

Carborro Family Vision is an eye clinic located near University Mall and is scheduled to open by the beginning of the summer.

Finally, the House in Chapel Hill, has a roof and all rough-ins are about 80% there. We are excited to see this one moving along. Thank you Mangum Construction for this effort.

I would like to acknowledge the sponsorship of many people who help us align with some of our clients who share the vision that Habanero Architecture strives to provide. Thank you Chi Yui with Wood+Water and Jenn Cobb with Verity Design Studio for introducing us to some amazing people.
