2020 USRowing Virtual Convention
Marlene will be speaking at this year's USRowing convention on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Day 2 of the convention, which is focused on training.

The entire convention is virtual and runs Tuesday, December 8, through Sunday, December 13, 2020. USRowing offers an all-access pass as well as day passes if you’d like to join in for just one day.

Assess Your Functional Movement


As we age, our strength and range of motion change. Along with Rebecca Caroe, Marlene published an article, Functional Movement Screening for Masters Rowers, on the row2k website.

The article lists 10 screening exercises you can use to identify weaknesses or limitations that, if improved, could help your rowing. Areas covered in the screening:
  • Ankles
  • Hamstrings
  • Chest
  • Legs
  • Thoracic spine
  • Balance
  • Hands
