On state time, five directors of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) required attendance for specific key employees; coordinated and planned with Rainbow/PUSH; RSVP'ed to PUSH for 76 state workers; and were each paid to attend the political rally.
Under intense management pressure, state workers traveled in from all corners of Illinois. One worker logged 594 round trip miles from Southern Illinois! In fact, 14 state workers traveled 4,734 round-trip miles and racked up thousands in hotel, per diem meals, and auto reimbursement- see chart here.
Who are these ISAC state workers? ISAC General Counsel Annie Pike describes her own team as a “shadowy group” and a “guerrilla group”. ISAC Chief Marketing & Communications Officer John Samuels clarifies… “Alinsky radicals”.
