To All Boards Members and Commissioners
Please help Fairfield pull together and stay apart

You are receiving this message as you are an important town leader. We need your help in leading our community through this crisis. You are a force multiplier and are part of our community response.

Update:
Locally we continue to struggle to discourage residents from congregating with persons outside the household.  There remains widespread disregard of the recommendations on social distancing. This is an area I ask you to repeat and reinforce in your sphere of influence.

On Friday the TOF completed our planning for the closure of Town Hall and municipal offices. Please refer to the TOF website homepage. Some critical services will continue by appointment. Most TOF employees are working from home. A summary of all services can be found here.

The Governor held a press conference and conference call on Friday. Key elements of the Governors press conference and conference call is that additional restrictions on business and social activity will be restricted by Executive Order beginning 0800hrs Monday 3/23. This shutdown will continue for 1 month.

The TOF and first responders are partnering with Economic Development and the Chamber of Commerce to promote take out in support of our local restaurants. Check out FB posts from FD/PD and the Chamber to see some of these promotions. Full list can be found here.
