Where We Have Been in 2018 and 2019
In September of 2018, Michael Wood and Julie DuBose returned to Nova Scotia after spending 10 years in Boulder Colorado. We are very happy to be here!

We held our first 14-Day Miksang Summer Institute Intensive in June and were really pleased with the participant feedback about the beautiful, peaceful place we live- Halifax!

In August we had a Miksang Institute Teacher gathering here in Halifax and explored some new areas in our curriculum that we will be introducing in our upcoming Making Contact workshops. We have a new, provocative way to do the Practice of Recognizing Freshness, a New Core Practice that we do as we walk through our world, and a new exercise called Settling into Awareness. These are new natural and direct means to enter into a deep state of stillness, openness and receptivity.

New Miksang Institute Teachers
We have two new teachers for our Making Contact Workshop:

Paul Giguere, Boston MA                              Ron Barnett, Germantown MD

Our two instructors from Japan, John Einarsen and Mitsue Nagase, held their first Miksang Workshop in Kyoto in May, 2019, and they are planning to have another course in the spring of 2020. This summer they trained to teach Heart of Perception as well, and we are extremely happy that both of these courses will be taught in Asia.

John Einarsen is now the Representative in Asia for the Miksang Institute.

Hiltrud Enders, our Miksang Institute Instructor for Europe, taught workshops in Germany as well as a 10- day Intensive in Greece. She received enthusiastic feedback and will return again next May for a second intensive.

Hiltrud Enders is now the Representative in Europe for the Miksang Institute.

Next Spring, the Institute will be training additional European teachers to work with Hiltrud throughout Europe in multiple languages.
