Hello Friends at YUM,

Greetings in Jesus name to God's people at YUM Church,

We have some prayer items and announcements for you this evening:

Prayer items

  • Here in Yarrow, we're still praying that the rain will subside and the water will go away. Even though the risk of flooding again in town is low, it's not zero. Please pray that the waters will go down.
  • Jake Wiens's mill is underwater and still and drying out slowly. Pray for him as he cleans up and makes a recovery plan. I'm sure he would appreciate any help you are able to give while he's trying to get his mill running and his employees back to work.
  • Dave Pankratz is allowed to have visitors again! This is good news! His stroke recovery has been delayed because he needed to quarantine for 3 weeks with Covid-19. But, praise God that he is on the other side of that quarantine. He's surrounded by an amazing family in Elaine and his kids. Please pray that he gains strength in his core to sit up, strength to swallow and that his speech therapy will be effective.

  • "What Brings You Joy?"  A bulletin display has been set up in the foyer for you to share what brings you joy.  You are welcome to write right on the letters "JOY" or there are also little sticky note papers that the ushers can hand out.  Feel free to take them home and stick them onto the display next Sunday.
  • Tomorrow is a communion Sunday as we practice for First Advent.
  • The Yarrow MB church and the Yarrow flood recovery volunteers are asking for help in the kitchen at the MB Church. Many farmers are getting back to their property for the first time today and cleaning out their homes for the first time after the flood. Many homes have been condemned and will be rebuilt by MCC/MDS. To help those farmers during this frantic clean-up phase volunteers in and around Yarrow continue to cook meals for the farmers and families significantly affected by the flood.
    • The MB Church asks for kitchen leaders, who can choose to make something with the food they have in stock and guide kitchen helpers.
    • They need kitchen helpers.
    • They need anyone who has FoodSafe certification. One person in the kitchen needs to be certified at all times.
  • You can join the volunteer's schedule as little or as much as you want. Please talk with Darnell if you'd like to be in touch with the kitchen manager.
