About the webinar:

Join Anneke and Michelle from the Field Studies Council, who will introduce a number of exciting activities that were developed for primary school children as part of the ‘Learning for Biodiversity’ project.  It will be an opportunity to share the innovative practice from the project and its relevance to the new Science curriculum, particularly at Key Stage 2.

This is a resource for Key Stage 2

You will:

  • Explore activities for the delivery of ‘All living things’, a compulsory programme of study for Science
  • Learn ways of investigating Biodiversity in the local and wider environment (school grounds to local open spaces)
  • Understand the science of taxonomy (classifying and grouping)
  • Explore activities that consider human impacts – why Biodiversity is important
  • Learn where to access new FREE online resources
The Learning for Biodiversity for Londoners programme, funded by the City Bridge Trust, was designed to inspire learning that will enable more Londoners to make a contribution to understanding and conserving biodiversity.  The programme also addresses barriers to learning and takes learning closer to the learners.

When you sign up, you will get instructions on how to access the very simple software (Webinars OnAir), and login to the live webinar. You will be able to ask questions and listen into the discussion. After the webinar you will get a video of the whole presentation to review at your leisure.
