MY ORIGINAL RECIPES IN TWO COOKBOOKS:
FLAVORS FROM THE VOID and KOMBUCHA REVOLUTION!

flavors from the void cookbook

A new recipe for Lebanese Nachos is my creation for a newly published  cookbook called Flavors from the Void from Float On, a Portland floatation tank spa who invited Portland chefs to float in their tanks and create an original recipe! Nachos were on my mind, and inspired by the idea of Lebanese nachos I created a vegan and gluten free recipe for the book with lentil sprouts and tahini sauce: see my blog post!

Kombucha Revolution
Another original
recipe of mine—Mangobucha Tropical Dressing—was selected for a cookbook published using kombucha tea called the Kombucha Revolution.

MY NEW WEEKLY FOOD/GARDEN COLUMN in ARAB AMERICA.com

In the spring I began writing a weekly food and garden column for a local news site called golocalpdx (Portland, Oregon), which led to my adapting the articles to a specifically Arab American audience in ArabAmerica.com. The column is called Mediterranean Cooking from the Garden with Linda Dalal Sawaya. This has been a delightful way to combine my passions: gardening, cooking, writing, and photography, using Mediterranean recipes—many Lebanese from Alice's Kitchen, as a focal point. I hope you'll be able to read the column and enjoy the photos and be inspired to cook organically from the garden. It reaches over 100,000 people weekly, which is a lovely way to share the love. Sahtein!

ALICE'S KITCHEN COOKBOOK NEWS
