Update on Restrictions: We are OPEN!

As we continue to monitor the situation locally as it relates to the spread of COVID-19, I wanted to update patients on our efforts to continue to be vigilant and put our community's safety first in times like these.

The Provincial Government has moved the province into a 6 week Stay at Home order. During this order, people are able to access services from Regulated Healthcare Practitioners - Registered Massage Therapy is included

Registered Massage Therapy remains open and will continue to operate as safely as possible while following recommendations and directives as ordered by the Ministry of Health and Provincial Governments.

Please review my policies and procedures prior to booking and I will continue to do my best in providing a safe environment for all.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email.

- Mandatory masks upon entry into the studio - staff and clients

- Physical Distancing of at least 6ft (2 meters)

- Hand sanitizer stations at the entrances

- Health screening for all who enter; monitor for symptoms, contact with possible cases, travel etc.

- Staff will self screen for symptoms, contact with possible case, avoid travel.

- I will continue to provide 15 minute spaces between appointments and limit wait time for clients to enter upon arrival.

- Please arrive at your appointment time (not more than 5 minutes early) to reduce possible contact with others exiting.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Vaccination Information from OPH

I wanted to share this link (Ottawa Public Health Vaccine Page) as many patients have been talking about vaccination eligibility,  information etc in the city of Ottawa.

I have received my first dose and so have many others! Here is the information about community clinics, eligibility, and also about the vaccines themselves.

Health and Safety Measures in Place

The Province of Ontario and the Ministry of Health has granted Regulated Health Practitioners permission to gradually and responsibly reopen their practices, following strict health measures and guidelines set out.

Because of  how COVID-19 is transmitted, measures will be put in place to reduce risks as much as possible.

One of these measures include wearing face masks. The Chief Medical Officer of Canada recommends face masks, and that they do in fact help to reduce the risk of transmission when used correctly.

Procedures that will be implemented in addition to existing cleaning/disinfecting include:

- Pre-Appointment screening (received 24hrs prior to appointment - read and confirm)
- Screening at the appointment prior to treatment
- 15 Minute Gaps between appointments (This will allow for sufficient time for client departure, extra sanitizing measures)
- Personal Protective Equipment - Surgical mask (+ face shield when necessary for face/neck work) will be worn by the therapist.
- Patients will be asked to wear masks (Please bring your own clean mask - reusable or single use) If you do not have one you will be provided with one at no cost.
- Patients will be asked to arrive on-time (no earlier than 5 minutes prior) and come by yourself for your appointment
- Patient should sanitize or wash hands upon arrival - both options are provided.
- Social Distancing - 6ft (2 metres) in the building, outside of treatment time (During intake, interview, post treatment)
- We will remove all items that cannot be sanitized to further reduce risk of contact transmission.
- FST Straps are now made of vinyl and can be wiped clean after each use.
