Johnson has been working successfully as a freelance audio engineer since 2015, taking many of the skills he learned at Columbia with him along the way.

The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago to Present World Premiere Dance Performance

A.I.M by Kyle Abraham will be performing their world premiere of An Untitled Love, Abraham’s newest evening-length work. Drawing from the catalogue of Grammy Award-winning R&B legend D’Angelo, this creative exaltation pays homage to the complexities of self-love and Black love, while serving as a thumping mixtape celebrating culture, family, and community.

Columbia professor's debut novel selected for One Book, One Chicago program

This year's One Book, One Chicago program explores the theme "Neighborhoods: Our City's Bedrock" and features the 2014 debut book "Bedrock Faith" by Eric Charles May.


Meet the Winners of the Inaugural No Malice Film Contest


Anna Lee Ackermann '20, a documentarian and freelance Chicago-based content creator in visual, audio, and written forms, placed 1st for “As We Are Planted”. Anna pursued a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Documentary with a dual focus in film and journalism and a minor in Social Media and Digital Strategy.
