Help the River Valley School District Plan for the Future

How do you think the River Valley School District can continue to move forward?  What should its schools look like in the 2020s?  How do you feel the District can best serve our students, while recognizing its limited resources?
The River Valley School Board invites you to attend one of the following strategic planning workshops to help us answer these questions and more.  The workshops are an early step in the District’s preparation of a new strategic plan.  The plan will be completed before the end of this school year, and will help chart decision making over the next two to five years. Each workshop will start at 7:00 p.m., last 1 ½ to 2 hours, and follow the same program.

Workshop schedule:
7:00-9:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2017, at the Lone Rock Elementary Gymnasium (222 W. Pearl Street, Lone Rock)
7:00-9:00 pm on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the River Valley Middle School Library (660 W. Daley Street, Spring Green)

Private Events at Taliesin

For the first time, Taliesin Preservation announces the ability to rent select spaces for private events in the historic Taliesin estate of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin.
Event options are designed for both small and large groups, and offer a private experience of Wright’s organic architecture and stunning Driftless Area natural landscapes. Available interior spaces include the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, Tan-y-Deri, Hillside Assembly Hall, Hillside Theater, Wright's Drafting Studio, and the Taliesin residence. Exterior spaces include the Tan-y-Deri hill and the lawn at Hillside. Availability varies by season.
Host a cocktail reception, dinner, private concert, social gathering, corporate retreat, or party. Wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners may be held exclusively at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center.
Local Business Spotlight: Timber Growers
Was your favorite tree in Spring Green removed for safety or construction? Chances are it was repurposed into handcrafted tables, cutting boards, flooring, and more at Timber Growers! All products are made from a variety of locally grown and sustainability sourced trees.

Timber Growers follows the traditional teaching of the Native Americans of Northern Wisconsin; They use what the forest naturally gives them.  This means they let the good trees grow and carefully salvage the sick or dying trees for their production.
