Oren's update: August 2016

Dear friends,
This is my updated performance schedule for August, 2016. Please check the web site for updates and additional dates:

No DC Jazz Jam for me this month, but I'm planning to join the special 7th Anniversary Jam on August 14, featuring an all-star house band drawn from the top jazz players in the DC area.

I look forward to seeing you at one or more of these events.

WAMU Bandwidth

Public radio station WAMU in Washington, DC has been featuring local music in the interludes between its talk shows and news breaks. On July 21 they played an extract from my "For A Tree" during Morning Edition. Here's the complete recording, featuring vocalist Barbara Papendorp.
My longtime musical partner Aaron Myers is spearheading the DC Jazz Lobby, which I encourage you to follow. I support their efforts to engage local government to provide incentives to support live music and local musicians.
Here's Aaron performing my tribute to etiquette on the Washington, DC Metro system, which was featured on NPR last year.
