2022 Faith Promise Campaign Update
AS OF MON NOV 8
We've received 102 Faith Promises totaling $276,303 and 61 of those pledges represent increases from 2021 or first time pledges. The total amount of the increase is approximately $57,000. Thank you for stepping up your commitment to ministry and mission here at The Church in Aurora! If you want to make a faith promise but did not receive the card and letter, please let me know. You can also create your faith promise online or I can do that for you.
Our target for 2022 is 225 Faith Promises totaling $525,000. After Thanksgiving I will make follow up contacts to those who have not responded unless you have indicated you do not want to be contacted. Please contact me at lanceb344@gmail.com or 216-219-3729 if you have any questions or need help. God bless you all!

Collecting Donations for Our Afghan Allies
FRI & SAT NOV 19 & 20 / 9AM-5PM
Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all our blessings. The arrival of our Afghan allies is an opportunity for us to pay it forward for all we have received. Every one of us can make a difference in someone’s life!
Only two percent of citizens are native to the land the U.S. encompasses, so most U.S. citizens have roots in other nations. Considering our history, there is nothing more American than an immigrant. Ensuring that every immigrant has access to housing, food, medical/mental health services and community support is critical to a successful resettlement journey. Resettling to a new country can be very intimidating and overwhelming. Our role as community members is to welcome members to their new homes and create an environment of trust, dignity, and self-determination. The need is great.
Donation Drive
The Church in Aurora and the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) are co-sponsoring a donation drive to help Afghans establish homes in northeast Ohio. Aurora residents are invited to donate to the drive or to volunteer:
The Church in Aurora / Located at 146 South Chillicothe Road
+ Friday, November 19, 9am to 5pm
+ Saturday, November 20, 9am to 5pm
Ways to Get Involved
+ Drive up and drop off donations (see donation needs list below).
+ Receipts for tax purposes will be provided to donors at the drive.
+ Information about the work of USCRI or to donate money on-line is available at refugees.org.
+ To volunteer during the donation drive, email Liz Sutter by EMAIL
