About the Speaker

Sheryl Hilliard Tucker (Arts '78) helps mission driven organizations become more effective. Shery Hilliard TuckerLeveraging 40 years of change-making experience, Sheryl develops innovative solutions for businesses, nonprofits and professionals in transition.

As Chief External Affairs Officer at AFS Intercultural Programs, she helped develop the first ever global strategy for the world’s leading high school study abroad organization with programs in 100 countries. Sheryl has been chief editor of several national publications and was on the senior executive team that managed Time Warner’s portfolio of more than 100 magazines and digital brands worldwide. Sheryl worked with the National Football League to create a financial boot camp for players to ensure brighter financial futures once their playing days are over.

Sheryl is a Trustee Emerita of Cornell University and a Presidential Councillor.  She is a former Mosaic Board Chair, Vice Chair of the Presidential Council of Cornell Women and served on the Cornell Alumni Magazine Board.
Sheryl was on the Cornell Alumni Association Board that recently reimagined the university’s alumni affairs strategy.

Sheryl sits on the board of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey. She received her Master’s Degree from Columbia University and attended New York University’s Heyman School of Philanthropy.
