Blinding snow. Biting cold. Long trudges uphill (both ways). Ah yes, I'm sure we all fondly remember those frigid Ithaca days!

Why does Ithaca get hammered by snow every winter? Why does the United States seem to be the global hot spot for some of the planet's most violent and beautiful storms? What in the world is a "super storm," and why was Sandy so unique?

Let's talk about the wonderful, wild world of weather and climate - including a bit of science, a dash of history, and a behind-the-scenes look at how your local weather forecast is put together.
