Be Smart During the Holiday Season
The holidays are always a special time of year. It's also a time when busy people become distracted, overwhelmed and vulnerable to theft and other holiday crime. We can never be too careful, too prepared, or too aware. Here are a few guidelines to make sure Grinch doesn't pay an unwanted visit to you! Be sure to keep all car doors and windows locked while in and out of your car and set alarms. Don't leave shopping bags and gifts in a viewable area in your car or home. Choose ATMs that are located indoors or are in a well-lit location and only withdraw the amount of cash you need. Put home lights on a timer or motion sensor and leave a radio or TV on when leaving. Be aware of strangers coming to your door. And remember to never drink and drive. By following a few easy tips you can keep your focus on enjoying your holiday celebrations. See more tips provided by the Bellevue Police Department here.
