Having a Safe Halloween

Halloween is an exciting day of the year for kids but it's also a day where children are more likely to get hurt. Keep these tips in mind on Halloween:
  • Decorate costumes and bags with reflectors and lights.
  • Make sure costumes are the right size to avoid trips and falls.
  • Walkers, cross the street at crosswalks and look before stepping into the street.
  • Drivers, allow pedestrians to cross.
  • Slow down when driving, kids are more likely move in unpredictable ways.
  • Homeowners, clean tripping hazards from porches.
  • Put your cellphones away while walking and driving.
