Summer Term
WEST SOMERSET RESEARCH SCHOOL
WELCOME
In our last newsletter we provided signposting to resources and support for homeschooling, during the Covid-19 pandemic that has closed our schools.  We are now turning our thoughts and attention to the future.

How can we teach successfully by distance learning, for the remainder of the school year, and throughout the new 20/21 academic year?  When schools re-open, how will they look?  Classrooms designed to allow for social distancing, one way systems around corridors and reduced timetables to name but a few.  There will undoubtedly be a greater emphasis on distance learning.

Will Smith, an English teacher at The Blue School and Metacognition ELE at WSRS, considers our return to school in his blog "Away from Normal".

Aside from the aforementioned blog, this issue contains lots of articles and links to resources, that we hope you'll find useful in supporting you and your school moving forward.

Wishing you all a successful last term of 2019/20.
