Oregon UU Voices for Justice -- Congregations Doing Justice Together!

SPECIAL PLANNING ISSUE:

What do you care about? Engage for the coming year!

Dear Oregon Unitarian Universalist Activist --

Every year Oregon Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice (Voices) has an Annual Meeting where we set the social justice issues for the year. This year is no different -- the annual meeting will take place on October 15, 2016 at the UU Congregation of Salem. We hope you will be there. Mark your calendars!

This year we want to know where your energy and priorities are BEFORE we get to the annual meeting. Please take this survey:

http://goo.gl/forms/AmZ7nA5imOJXL0u63

Please click the above link and tell us what you see in Oregon's future. The deadline for the survey is Thursday, June 28. It's an easy survey that will take five minutes or less to complete. What social justice issues light your fire and ignite your passions? We want to go into the Annual Meeting ready to work. We want to roll up our sleeves.

Fill out the survey as a congregation, a social justice team or as an individual, and let us know what you think. Pass it on to your friends and have them fill it out also.

If your congregation or social justice team needs more time to fill it out, contact Rev. Katie at exdir@oregonuuvoices.org for an extension.

Let's talk! Be a part of all-Oregon organizing!

   Oregon UU Voices for Justice
Invites you to--

A Video Conference
Wednesday, June 29th
 10AM or 7PM.

Let's get a great start on the coming year!

After you fill out the Issues Survey we can talk proposal! We are asking for proposals this year to help select issues.

In this Video Conference we will be discussing next year’s issues -- both how we will be selecting issues at the annual meeting, and how to participate in an issue campaign next year.
  • You will find out what criteria make a good issue.
  • How to fill out an easy issue Proposal.
  • How to gather support using our communication tools
  • And what will happen AFTER the annual meeting when the real action and collaboration begins.
There will be two different video conferences on Wednesday, June 29th at 10am in the morning and 7pm at night. Register for the one that works for you (they will be the same). We will be using Zoom Video conferencing. If you have a camera on your computer or own a smart phone you can be a part of the video conference. You can also join the conference by phone only without using the video capabilities.

If you can't make the video conference -- please look for our planning packet on the front page of our website www.uuvoicesoregon.org. Or, contact us directly at exdir@oregonuuvoices.org.
