Harwich Hoody Fest 2015

Saturday 19 September
Park Pavilion, Barrak Lane

This year is the 5th anniversary of the Harwich Hoody Festival organised by our youth forum, Harwich Inspired Youth Action (HIYA), and it's going to be better than ever! As well as live music from local young musicians in the battle of the bands completion, we've got performances from dance troopes and cheerleaders plus Essex Fire Service Community Wheels. We'll also have food, stalls and activities available throughout the day so there will be lots for the whole family to get involved in. For more info call 01255 504800.

Open Day Celeberation

Thursday 24 September
17 Cliff Road, Harwich

We're holding an open day to celebrate the completion of our centres refurbishment, including the opening of our brand new community room, The Central. Thanks to grants from Veolia Environmental Trust, Awards for All, Essex County Council Community Initiatives Fund and the Big Society, we've been able to completely transform our centre into a great place for young people to come to. Drop in throughout the afternoon to see the our new crazy patterned furniture, enjoy some cake and see how you could make use of The Central.

HIYA Fundraising

Teen Talk's Youth Forum, Harwich Inspired Youth Action (HIYA), have continued to smash their fundraising challenge this year with further events through the summer holidays. HIYA set their fundraising target at £300.00 but eight months in and their total already stands at £510.50. So far the group have carried out bag packs, bake sales and sponsored sleep outs to raise funds that will be split between their community events and the Pioneer Sailing Trust. Keep an eye out for future fundraising events and don't forget, its simple to make a donation through their local giving page here.
