Teen Talk offers free and confidential information and support to young people aged 11-25 years in the Tendring area.

Teen Talk’s Youth Forum, Harwich Inspired Youth Action (HIYA), have announced that this years Hoody Fest will be taking place on Saturday 3rd November 2012 at the Park Pavillion in Barrack Lane, Harwich. The one day free entertainment festival aims to bring together all generations, friends and family to show that not everyone who wears a hoody is bad to mix with and encourage the community to work together. Local bands including The Buzzards, Entropy, The Catrinas and Broken Subjects are all confirmed to perform at the one day music event, which is organised by local young people. Stalls including crafts, cakes, jewellery and more will also be available on the day. If you would like to be involved get in touch on 01255 504800.

Quality Award for Teen Talk

In July Teen Talk were awarded with ISO 9001 certification following an assessement by an independant body. The assessment, which was undertaken by QMS International plc, confirmed that the organisations investment in people and training enables the provision of an efficent service to Teen Talks service users. Pictured is Teen Talks Manager Hayley Lovett and Support Worker Rebecca White recieveing the award from Assessor John Goldring. 


Teen Talk will be open as usual every week day throughout the summer holidays and we have got pleanty to keep young people occupied! Art & Craft, DIY and Cookery Workshops will be taking place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Ativities include cupcake making, jewellery design, tiling and wallpapering. Visit our facebook page for full details. Pictured are some of the beautiful keyrings already made in some of this summers craft workshops. The drop-in is open as usual every weekday between 2-4pm and the Healthshop every Tuesday between 4-6pm. Visit our website for more information. Our Support Workers will also be available for one-to-one sessions at Clacton Costal Community Centre on Mondays and Fridays and SignPost in Jaywick on Thursdays. Teen Talk has launched a webpage, The webpage gives the local community a quick and simple route to give to Teen Talk. Donations as little as £5 can contribute towards providing a young person with support to overcome the difficulties they face through one-to-one sessions with Support Workers and Counsellors or activities such as arts and crafts, Cookery and DIY.  To show your support and help Teen Talk to continue its work supporting Tendrings young people visit


July has seen the first of the Teen Talk  weekly Coffee Mornings get underway. The Coffee Mornings will be taking place every Monday morning from 10.00am throughout the summer holidays at Teen Talks centre in Cliff Road. These mornings give families the opportunity to come together for fun and creative activities and information sharing. Room Hire

The Teen Talk centre in Cliff Road has a number of rooms available for hire from counselling rooms and computer rooms to a fully operational kitchen and large workshop. If you would like to hire a room at Teen Talk for a one off event or regular booking call 01255 504800 for more information.


HIYA member Kaitlin Trenerry has recieved an award from Teen Talk having clocked up an impressive 18 volunteer hours in just 3 months, which is additional to the time Kaitlin spends at HIYA's regular meetings. Pictured are the HIYA members congratulating Kaitlin on her hard work and fantastic achievement. Well done Kaitlin!
