Our newsletter seems to be timed well with the marks in the roadmap, another month, and another big step forward for businesses.
Monday marked another big step forward, with the Stage 3 of reopening the country! This step now sees the majority of Ilkley businesses able to open their doors and get back to business. It is fantastic to finally welcome back our indoor hospitality, Cinema and Hotels, you have been sorely missed.
To add to this positivity, we have been seeing a steady increase in Footfall traffic throughout April and into May with Ilkley visitors keen to return. The weather may have been against us this month and I appreciate the added frustration this has caused for outdoor hospitality, but I have to say it has been brilliant to see the resilience of your customers bundled up and braving the elements so they can enjoy an outdoor drink and meal!
As we look further to the future and inviting more people back to Ilkley. The BID team are busy working on the promotion of Discover Ilkley, using the platform to shout about all Ilkley has to offer and encourage footfall into the town. There will be more information to come but we have recently partnered with Leeds TV to run a series of episodes on Ilkley, helping to promote our businesses and town activity, showcasing our onward journey to recovery.
Further information regarding projects and BID activity Is below, I hope you find it useful.
As usual please reach out if there is anything you need, be it sharing your socials, helping with grants, and parking or suggestion of a new project, we are here to support you!
Have a great week.

Success as we see the return of Real Food Ilkley with Discover Ilkley on hand to welcome visitors.
The BID team were on site, through rain and shine to welcome visitors to May's Real Food Ilkley market. The Grove was busy with visitors and the markets were a great success with many traders selling out early. The rain didn't dampen spirits with many visitors staying on into the afternoon.
It was great to get out there and speak to both locals and visitors and share Discover Ilkley, highlighting our amazing businesses and all the great activity in the town that makes Ilkley so thriving.
If you are interested in showcasing your business at the markets contact the BID team - its a great opportunity for businesses to grow their presence and get in front of the community and visitors.
The #Ilkleyisopen team have kindly redirected traffic to the Discover Ilkley website, so for any businesses that are not yet listed on Discover lIkley, please get in touch so you can be included.

Competition Winners - Easter trail winners announced last month
We recently named five lucky winners from the Easter Egg trail on LoyalFree. Each winner received a voucher to spend at a Ilkley business of their choice and some chocolate goodies kindly donated from Love Brownies.
Usership of the app has steadily been increasing but we want to get more businesses involved! The App is a great way to showcase your business and offers to visitors in the town as well as making use of the great signposting functionality through the digital trails we have created. The app allows visitors to quickly see where you are and what offers you have at a touch of a button. The App helps to make your business more visible to visitors and expand you customer base.
If you want training on LoyalFree please contact the BID team.
Use The LoyalFree Marketplace to sell your productions and gift vouchers online.
