I am very excited to take on the role of Ilkley BID Manager and look forward to working with you all in the coming months. It has been interesting to start the position and not be able to meet any of you in person, but I am hoping with restrictions easing I can change that soon.
The Roadmap announcement in February has brought some much-needed good news to all. The scheduled reopening of businesses through April, May, and June is a step towards normal life returning. I want to ensure you all feel prepared and supported at this time and will be hosting webinars over the next month for all that would like to attend to share preparations, ideas, and any concerns. Please keep a look out for emails with the webinar dates ahead of the April and May reopening’s.
Another hot topic this month was of course the announcement of the Budget, this has brought news of further Furlough Support, Additional Grants, and continuation of Business Rate Holidays. We continue to lobby on your behalf to Bradford Council to ensure grant payments are delivered quicker. If any business feels they have slipped between the cracks please contact info@Ilkleybid.co.uk and we will do what we can to ensure you are properly heard.
I appreciate the last year will have been one of the most difficult that any business could have experienced, and I want to offer my full support to help businesses get back on their feet.
With reopening on the horizon there brighter days ahead!
All the best
