Engine Cut-Off Switch Law
The new federal law, which took effect on April 1, requires the operators of boats equipped with an engine cut-off switch to use the link (usually a coiled lanyard clipped to clothing or your PFD). The rule applies to motorized boats with three or more horsepower less than 26 feet in length.
