Be a Citizen Climate Super Hero    

The City of Maple Ridge is planning important steps to combat climate change, and they need your help. In less time than it takes to watch an episode of your favourite series on Netflix, you can be a climate super hero simply by going to the City's public engagement website "We're setting our sites on a greener future". From there: 

• click/tap the button "Download webinar slides" for info on the proposed new GHG emissions targets, and why they are needed.
• click/tap the button "Complete a mini action plan" and follow the instructions to create your very own plan (that you can pin on your wall and send to the City)
• answer the City’s survey about the new targets for reducing emissions across the city, and bold moves to fight climate change.

The survey is open until March 18. So let your voice be heard, and tell the City we are ready to be bold!  

Get a jump on Earth Day

Just in time for spring break, this year's Earth Day celebration in Maple Ridge revolves around exploring the community in a fun and Covid-friendly way from now until Earth Day on April 22. 

If you think you know Maple Ridge now, wait until you've done an Earth Day challenge or two. You'll feel like you've traveled in spite of restrictions! 

Whether you're into biking, hiking, local history or culture, you'll find a suitable challenge for Earth Day. Love to garden (or want to try it out)? They've got you covered. Are you a reader? Say no more. Love food, flowers and beverages? Check, check and check.
