Dear <<First Name>>

Welcome to our February 2017 Newsletter

Caravan Bookings
Berwick-On-Tweed: - This caravan will be available for holidays from the 1st April 2017 and it is for PACT families where the child is off treatment or bereaved. Families may go more than once but only go once in the school holidays (this includes Easter, half-terms, and summer) and priority is given to families that have not been before. The cost of the caravan is £100.00 per week plus a further £50.00 which will be retained as a bond against any damages or losses, this bond will be refundable on return from your holiday when the caravan has been checked and the signed inventory returned to the PACT office.

Filey/Primrose Valley: - This caravan will be available for holidays from the 1st April 2017 and it is for PACT families where the child is still on treatment; however families may only go once. If a family wants to go in the first year of treatment they must first check with their consultant to make sure it fits in with treatment. The cost is £50.00 per week plus a further £50.00 which will be retained as a bond against any damages or losses, this bond will be refundable on return from holiday when the caravan has been checked and the signed inventory returned to the PACT office.

If you are interested in booking either caravan for a week's holiday (weeks run from Saturday to Saturday), please contact the PACT office after the 16th March. We will need to know your name and contact details, which caravan you wish to book, your preferred dates and also whether or not you have any other holidays booked through the hospital/other charities. When we have sorted through all the requests we will contact you with a confirmed booking.

News
Clinic Appeal

As you all know, we have now reached (and passed) our target of £670,000 for the building costs of the new clinic. The appeal is due to officially close in May 2017, so any extra funds which have been raised specifically for the clinic will be placed in the appeal fund and can be used towards the furnishings. The Hospital are now finalising the plans before putting the project out to tender and they anticipate that the new clinic will be up and running well before the end of this year which is great news.

Farewell to Professor Vora
As most of you will know, Professor Vora is moving to Great Ormond Street Hospital in late February 2017 and there will be a farewell party in the clinic on Thursday 16th February from 2.30pm. If you would like to attend please contact the clinic on 0114 271 7268 (not the PACT office).

A plea to everyone
Could everyone please check to see if you still have any of the PACT collecting tins or buckets and if so, bring them into the office as soon as possible. We know there are quite a few out there and if they are collecting dust in a dark corner somewhere and are no longer needed, we would appreciate them back.
