We wish to inform all PACT members that the Trustees wish to add some wording to one of the objects of the charity in the Constitution to clarify who PACT supports and this will be voted on at the AGM. Full details are below and on our website and if you wish to register any concerns or objections to this change, please either attend the AGM or contact the PACT Office before the 6th July 2012.
At present it reads as follows:-
"The Association's objects are:

The proposed change is so that it reads as follows:
"The Association's objects are:
a. The provision of relief for individuals who are under the care of Sheffield Children's Hospital Paediatric Oncology & Haematology Unit (the Unit) and who are suffering from (i) a malignant disease, or (ii) a benign tumour requiring chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment or (iii) a non-malignant but life-threatening haematological disorder and the preservation and protection of the good health of the individuals formerly under the care of the Unit"
Dates For Your Diary
For anyone staying at PACT House – There is now a standard minimum donation of £10 per week/part of week requested for everyone staying in the rooms at the house.
Visit Waitrose, Ecclesall Road, Sheffield in August– Waitrose have chosen PACT as one of their three Community Matters charities in August and we so can share in the monthly donation of £1,000. If you spend over £10 in the store you are given a token to vote for your charity and at the end of the month the tokens are counted and the donation divided out accordingly. Please spread the word for us.
Christmas Party – Due to the increasing number of PACT families, we are changing things slightly this year. The Party will now be for children up to the age of 12 and their families and we will be organising a bowling night for the older children. The party will be on Sunday 2nd December between 11am and 3pm in the "1897 Suite" at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. Full details of the bowling night and the party including booking forms will follow later on in the year.
Annual Trip – Will be on Sunday 2nd September 2012 and this year we are hopefully going to Alton Towers. Please see the next newsletter for the booking form.
