MIT ENERGY INITIATIVE UPDATES

In a letter to readers, MITEI Director Robert Armstrong highlights MITEI’s latest initiatives and events and discusses MIT’s perseverance to keep climate action an Institute priority. “At MITEI, we have been humbled by the creativity and dedication of our community, which, despite many obstacles, remains committed to educating our students and finding clean energy solutions,” he says.
In Memoriam

MITEI remembers George P. Shultz PhD ’49 (1920-2020), who was a fierce advocate for climate action and provided invaluable guidance while serving as the chair of MITEI’s External Advisory Board for over a decade. MIT leadership and faculty offer reflections on his many contributions to MITEI and clean energy. He will be deeply missed.
