Ram Jeyaraman elected to OASIS Board of Directors

Members elected Microsoft's Ram Jeyaraman to complete the term of resigned Board director, Jim Hughes. Ram will be seated on 16 Dec and will serve until Jul 2016.

European Commission approves referencing of OASIS UBL standard

The OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) standard has been designated by the European Commission as one of the first consortium standards officially eligible for referencing in tenders from public administrations. UBL is a versatile electronic format for defining and exchanging a wide range of business transaction documents, particularly in international supply chain processes.

CAMP TC publishes Committee Specifications

Cloud Application Management for Platforms (CAMP) 1.1 defines the artifacts and APIs that need to be offered by a Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud to manage the building, running, administration, monitoring and patching of applications in the cloud. CAMP Test Assertions 1.1 precisely defines the conditions required for an implementation to conform to the spec. Congratulations to CAMP TC chair, Martin Chapman of Oracle, and to representatives of Sponsors, Cloudsoft, Fujitsu, NetApp, Oracle, Red Hat, Software AG, US Department of Defense, and to all TC members for accomplishing this milestone.

Public Review underway for OBIX

Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) enables mechanical and electrical control systems in buildings to communicate with enterprise applications. Five OBIX specifications comprise this public review, which ends 24 Dec.

One demo pod available for KMIP/PKCS11 Interop at RSA 2015

Products that support the KMIP and PKCS #11 encryption and cryptography standards will be demonstrated at the OASIS Interop booth in San Francisco, 20-24 April. A recent cancellation has made one pod in this premiere location on the show floor available. Any KMIP or PKCS 11 TC member who has not already reserved space in the OASIS booth may apply (first come, first served). Contact before 31 Dec.
