CCLBA is Hiring!
Cook County Land Bank Authority is seeking a qualified professional to serve as Acquisition Specialist. Under the general direction of the Senior Acquisitions Manager, this team member will monitor and assist in the day-to-day activities of the property acquisitions and disposition process. He/she will participate in developing and implementing the CCLBA’s property acquisition strategy, conduct ongoing research on housing market conditions, identify opportunities for strategic acquisition, and validate property appraisal assumptions for potential acquisitions. For a more complete description of this position, including minimum qualifications and how to apply, please click here.

New and Improved CCLBA Website
It took several months of planning, rebuilding, and tweaking, but CCLBA has a brand-new website. At the heart of the site is the CCLBA eProperty Plus property portal. Using this industry-leading technology, CCLBA is able to list all properties currently in its inventory, with basic descriptions, photos, and more. The system, created by STR Grants LLC of Virginia, also provides interactive mapping capabilities and the ability for a visitor to apply to acquire a property directly over the website. It is updated in real time by CCLBA staff, meaning visitors will always know what CCLBA has to offer.

CCLBA is also planning to list “pending acquisitions,” which will include properties available to be acquired by CCLBA, but not yet in our possession. Examples will include vacant lots, large industrial or commercial sites, or properties subject to acquisition through the Cook County “scavenger sale.” Having properties listed in advance helps CCLBA match interested parties to properties before we acquire. This is in keeping with our strategy of having disposition (end-use) lead acquisition efforts. The website also simplifies internal navigation and makes it more intuitive for users to locate information on CCLBA activities, policies, and procedures.
