PIcasso’s Missing Mosaic Panels

Pablo Picasso – the Cote d’Azur in the 1950s – an enchanting younger lover – and mosaics. Historian, educator and artist Lillian Sizemore has put together all the elements of yet another marvelous mosaic mystery – the missing mosaic panels of Pablo Picasso. We are excited to publish this intriguing story about how one of the 20th century’s most influential artists explored the mosaic medium. Where are the missing mosaic panels now? If you know, let us know.

Also this week on The BOM – Seattle-based sculptor Ann Gardner infuses light into her exquisite art with mosaic tesserae she makes herself. Find out how in “Why Mosaic: Ann Gardner”. Finally, performance artist Gustav Troger makes light dance as The Mirror Man.

In Tweets you’ll find exhibits from New York from Moscow, love in Maremma and a new mosaic museum in Vicenza. Time to redeem those frequent flier miles.

Enjoy – Nancie
