In review...

Fringe, Festival, V8 racing, Womad, Adelaide Cup, Easter…Wow…Mad March is winding down and what a fantastic time we've had. Welcome to the Autumn edition of CPR’s e-news.

The start of 2013 has turned from a slow beginning into a busy delivery of diverse projects – hopefully a trend that will continue. During the current industry ‘tightness’ it is our core client base that helps sustain and stabilise our workload and these long term relationships are not taken lightly. We see it being critical during these times to continue to provide economical and value-add engineering with timely delivery to all projects. Our continued philosophy has always been to provide innovative and sound engineering to our projects whilst having some fun and enjoying the team spirit along the way.

Winning projects

  • Resthaven Wayville and Pt Elliot
  • Craigmore and Renmark Primary Schools
  • Mount Barker GP Super Clinic
  • St Anna’s Residential Aged Care – now out to tender!
  • Penfolds Magill Estate Redevelopment
  • Hetti Perkins Aged Care, Alice Springs – now out to tender!

Staff achievements

  • Travel has been on the agenda of many staff with David Reynolds enjoying some time in northern Europe, Jack Adcock experiencing Norwegian hospitality, Rob Lane dropping into the US/Canada and Or Aroonsiri returning home to Malaysia for Xmas. Welcome home everyone!
  • We now have five draft persons actively training in Revit with the list of projects delivered in Revit growing. We are learning from our peers quickly and adjusting to the necessary change in work flows.
  • Matthew Cranley participated in a team swim over 74.6km in 24 hours for Multiple Sclerosis, well done Matt.

Colette Voros returned from her epic journey of discovery (actually she visited wineries in Clare, rode Harley’s, had murder mystery nights, trekked in and flew over Wilpena Pound, and Jillarooed on a sheep station!) but more importantly she not only reached her fund raising target, but well exceeded it raising over $11,600 in support of Youthinc – All 12 participants raising over $133,000 in total! A huge thank you to all those who donated or came along to her events last year.Keep an eye out for the documentary to be aired again on Channel 7 in 2013.

The Louise and Appellation Restaurant Luxury Resort

CPR has contributed to making the first moments of your luxury stay even better through our design of a new walkway entrance structure, at the 6 star accommodation in the Barossa Valley - The Louise. Working closely with the Client, the functional and elegant walkway entrance to the Appellation restaurant was detailed in timber in order to meet a one month build time constraint during July 2012.

CPR Engineers Turns 8!

CPR went green at the annual CPR birthday and family fun day! This year CPR turned 8 and we celebrated in St Patrick’s Day style on 17th March at Wattle Reserve, Hove. Although little breezy, the day was enjoyed by all big kids and little kids, battling it out in 3 legged races, sack races and egg and spoon race. Another great year down! What is Neil Pearson saying to his young sack race team? Forward your best caption for the photo to admin@cprengineers.com.au.

We wish you all a happy and safe Easter Break
