Water and Gatorade…

Most of us have seen on TV the football player who affectionately douses his head football coach with a large container of Gatorade at the end of a game that they won, sneaking up on the seemingly unaware coach and pouring it over his head until his shirt is drenched.

The coach looks shocked, yet on the inside he is loving every minute of it!

We want to affectionately douse Nor Cal in the same way.

I got word that one of the greatest needs is water and Gatorade.  So, Sunday October 22 and 29, we are asking everyone at Mountainbrook Church to bring as much water and/or Gatorade as possible for victims and firefighters.  We pray for them, but we want to do something as well.

James 2:16 calls us to do something, “If anyone says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

So let’s meet some physical needs by giving as much water and Gatorade as possible.

You in?

Jesus calls us to pray and meet physical needs.  It’s always the both-and.

Pray today, “Lord, let me be your hands and feet, in Jesus’ name, amen.
