Fly Fishing Update:
We can't say it enough. The Missouri is the best fly fishing in Montana. No other river is fishing as hot right now. Our last few groups of experienced anglers have been seeing non-stop action, with some of the best dry fly fishing in the country.
The Blue Wing Olive hatch is so thick, that they cover an angler from head-to-toe at certain times of the day. While the wind and river eddies create difficult presentations, anglers have been rewarded with 20+ inch trout sipping dries.
Nymph fishing has gone from a solid option, to rocket-hot. There are fish all over the rivers. On the banks? Yes. In the deeper water? Absolutely. Tail-outs of riffles? Hold on tight to your rod. Fish are all over the water column, and regularly taking frenchies, sow bugs, scuds, and baetis nymphs. If you're not sure where to start, "short-leasing" is always an excellent option.
Streamer fishing is producing when good cloud cover presents itself. Anglers have been utilizing Flash N' Grab patterns to great success in slower, deeper pools.
The season is filling up incredibly fast. We have a few availabilities left for prime dates in June, as well as hopper fishing dates in August.
Drop us a line and we hope to see you soon!
