Just when we thought it was safe to go back into the water…

Melbourne (and the Mitchell Shire) is currently in the midst of Stage 4 lockdown with the rest of Victoria back into stage 3. For Melbourne that effectively means no boating, we’re only allowed out to exercise for an hour, with only one other person. Only one person from each household allowed out for essential shopping for no more than an hour each day with severe restrictions on travel beyond 5km from home.

I know it’s necessary, but it’s tough! In our household we consider ourselves fortunate in that, while we’re severely inconvenienced, we’re managing to cope, there are a lot of people doing it extremely tough, including those with loved ones in Aged Care. Our thoughts are with them and all of those struggling to cope. We just need to keep in mind that if we all do the right thing, we will get through this.

For the rest of the country and the boating world things are looking very promising and we’ve got a rundown on all things marine in this edition, so, sit back browse through and enjoy the read.

Cheers, see you out on the water (soon, I hope)
