Every boater loves their boat, it doesn’t matter if it’s a tinnie, a cruiser, racer, or superyacht. So what better gift to give the boater in your life than a genuine, hand painted portrait of their pride and joy.
We’re not talking about any old run-of-the-mill picture produced by any Tom or Dick, We’re talking about a genuine, hand painted portrait, painted lovingly on canvas by Harry... Yes, Shipmate’s ‘man on the ground’ in South East Queensland, Harry Davis, a man of many talents.
Apart from being our man in SEQ, Harry knows a lot about boats, he’s spent a lifetime building, racing, cruising, selling boats. And that’s apart from his 27 years with the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. But for all of that time, Harry’s also been painting. An accomplished and talented artist, Harry’s even had a number of entries in the Archibald Prize. But what Harry really loves painting is boats, I’ve seen his work, it really is very good. Check out the article about Harry below and give him a call for more details.
Now that’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we’ve got for you this time around, apart from the full wrap up of the extravaganza on the Gold Coast that was the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the Gold Coast International Marine Expo and the Riviera Festival of Boating, we’ve got marine news from all over Australia.
But rather than go through and summarise everything we’ve got for you in this edition, I suggest you just sit back, browse through and enjoy the read.
Cheers, see you out on the water
