Newsletter #16  2013

Hey there!
This week was a good week! On Tuesday a big box arrived at my doorstep filled with the book 'Wohnideen aus dem wahren leben" Which I made together with a group of European bloggers...
I loved to finally see the result!
On the blog I showed lots of pictures from Paris this week! It feels good to have covered Paris and Maison&Objet on the blog. I still have some amazing pictures from Berlin where I was 4 months ago!, that I still want to share! With all great things coming up day after day... it is hard sometimes to find the time and decide what to blog first. GUess that is what we call inspiration ;)

So wassup?
Well lots of great shows, dinners and exhibitions in the upcoming days as my city will be hosting Elle Inside Design and the Woonbeurs!

I will be hanging around at the Woonbeurs at the bloggertable in the Designhall Wednesday afternoon during the fair, so come and say hi to me and my fellow bloggerfriends! Or if you are a blogger as well I hope to see you at Meet the Blogger! I am really looking forward to share some time with friends and having people over to stay at home!  Can't wait to discover all the new Dutch Design!

Read on on what was posted on the blog last week....and some giveaways!

See you next week
Rock on! X
So here it is ... The book I worked on with 14 other bloggers. We did everything ourselves, from writing the text to making our own pictures. All collected in one book published by D. Callway. It is in German, so I can not even understand everything myself but the pictures speak for themselves.

Text from the site (translated into English)
Trendscout, trendsetter, Blogstars. For several years, bloggers are on the rise. They report on trends and thus become trendsetters. Especially blogs about interior design, living and cooking are very popular. Design blogger Holly Becker was already a blogstar and best-selling author
We brought the best interior design bloggers together in a large book to ask the experts for their personal tips and tricks. The book presents them and their favorite interior photos with hundreds of ideas and inspiration. This involves setting up and designing around with exciting room-by-room tours, interviews, personal quotes and short explanations.

You can order a copy by clicking on the link above if you would like so. Or sent me an email at with BOOK in the subject and I will sent out a copy exclusively to one of my newsletter subscribers!

More great news for fellow MERCI minded people !

I am really happy that Droog Gallery will have a  MERCI pop up store from September 20th - October 6th I visited the shop and you can find a sneak peek at my Amsterdam City guide: Amsterdam Next

The Paris design concept store, will pop-up at Hôtel Droog with a snapshot of the Merci experience. The authors of the book Brushes, Daniel Rozensztroch and Shiri Slavin, Merci art director and home stylist, will show their collection of brushes for the first time in Amsterdam, after Paris, Montreal and Tokyo.

The collection reveals the know-how that ties different countries together, along with the immense creativity of those who conceived and fabricated them: the workers, artisans, inventors and designers. Brushes relate a history of social roles and the evolution of our way of life in terms of beauty, hygiene and well-being.
